One of the holiday traditions that I treasure the most about Great Falls is the annual Christmas Stroll. Each year, on the first Friday evening of December, downtown Great Falls opens its doors and welcomes in the community for one great big Christmas open house. Many of the stores, decked out in their Christmas finery, welcome you in while the streets, closed off to normal traffic, are filled with families bundled up enjoying the beginning of the season. Each block is filled with local vendors and fun activities from Park Drive up to 8th Street, and a special commemorative Stroll button can be purchased for $5. And, in years past there was an Historic Preservation Committee holiday ornament that you could buy to remember the special evening. I'm curious to see what this years looks like!!
The 36th annual Christmas stroll will be held December 6, 2019, from 5-9, and the theme is "Holly Jolly Christmas". This festive evening will be filled with several events to entertain your family and properly kick off your Christmas celebrations.
